Korean Beauty has become a lot more mainstream over the last couple years. Now, Taiwanese beauty is beginning to enter the same markets. I was fortunate enough to receive an essence and mask from the brand CyLab as PR. I received the Crithmum Maritimum Callus Culture Filtrate Essence and a set of three of the Arbutin Skin Whitening Masks.
I have been so impressed with the Taiwanese beauty products that I have tried recently, especially both of the these CyLab products, so I wanted to share my experiences with you!
The mask is a regular sheetmask style. The fabric is very thin, but is not overly fragile. I had no issues with it stretching or tearing. It comes with a plastic protective sheet, this helped me to easily put it on my face. Y’all…. this mask fit. THIS. MASK. FIT.
Look at that, it vanishes into my skin. It stayed in place so well and it was very comfortable to wear. These photos are from my third and final mask. I wanted to try out all of them before giving my opinion. This fit was there for all three uses and it still impressed me every time. Each time, I got about 40 minutes of wear (give or take a few minutes) before it dried out enough to warrant removal. The essence on the mask is very watery and the mask is packed with it. Do take care when applying it, it can get a little drippy. Once the mask is in place and set, there are not issues with dripping.
After removing the mask, the leftover essence absorbs within 5 minutes, even when I apply leftover essence from the pack to me face, neck and chest. It does not leave any tacky or sticky residue behind. My skin is brighter after use, it reduces a lot of redness in my cheeks and the effects can still be seen the following morning, but will fade off by the end of the following day. It hydrates my skin very well, makes the skin look supple as well. I was highly impressed with the continued performance each time I used the masks, which were several weeks to a month apart.
I have already purchased a set of these masks to have in my collection. I have also purchased the other two mask styles they offer, the Crithmum Maritimum Callus Culture Filtrate Mask and Triple Hyaluronic Acid Mask. Keep an eye out for my thoughts on those!
Mask Ingredients: Sodium Hyaluronate, Arbutin, Allantoin, Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Chrondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Beta-Glucan, Butylene Glcol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Methylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Water
This is listed by CyLab as an essence, but it has a serum texture and I use it during the serum step of my skincare. I have not had many essences that really have stood out to me in my short time in the skincare game. This one blew me away! Even after using it only a handful of times, my skin felt smoother and my skin texture felt more even. If I missed using this for a day or two due to travel or trying another product, my skin showed it. Running my hands over my face now feels so much different than it felt month ago before I started using this product. I am sad at the thought of it running out.
I have been using this product for about 3 months now and I still have some left in the bottle. Thankfully, a little bit goes a long way and I do use it on my face, neck and chest daily. I use one dropper full with each use. It goes on very easily and absorbs faster than any other serum or essence I have used before. It makes my morning routine go much smoother because of that! I feel like my skin looks plumper and healthier since I started using this product and I will absolutely be purchasing this product in the future! It is a little on the pricier side, about $60 for a 1oz bottle, but to me it is totally worth it.

Thank you to CyLab for sending me these products free for my review. I am so impressed with the quality of products they offer, my opinions are my own even though I did receive these products for free. You can buy these products at Shop Amabie, they offer free shipping to the US with orders of $40! The masks, not any of the essences and serums, are also available at Miirushop, which specialized in Taiwanese beauty! I have purchased from both vendors and they are wonderful to work with!
Please let me know if you have any questions about these products or about the company, I would be more than happy to answer them! Thank you for taking the time to read this review. Until next time, stay beautiful!
